IMC Mission Statement

The Instructional Media Center (IMC) provides multimedia instructional materials and elementary curriculum library print materials for the instructional program of San Luis Coastal Unified School District.


Responsibility

The responsibility for recommending selections rests with certificated library media teachers who shall discharge this obligation consistent
with the Board’s adopted instructional materials selection criteria
(BP 6161.1) and procedures. Recommendations from the school community, including other library personnel, faculty, parents, and students are encouraged and will be considered. Selected resources
are subject to approval by the site administrator.


The IMC provides training for our nine schools' Library Media
Technicians so that they can effectively guide students in identifying, locating, and interpreting information in a variety of formats.
